The History
Frank Ferguson devoted an impressive four decades of his career to Habersham Metal from 1957 to 1997, during which time the company evolved into the leading global manufacturer of prison doors and frames. After his retirement, he founded Piedmont Metal, which swiftly became a vital supplier of components for Steel Cell of America, a distinguished leader in modular prison cell construction and the renovation of correctional facilities throughout the United States and beyond for 25 years. Piedmont Metal earned national recognition for its crucial role in the construction of the Guantanamo Bay Prison in the early 2000s.
Today, Frank’s remarkable legacy is championed by his son Jeff Ferguson at Safe Haven, who passionately embraces innovation while upholding an unwavering commitment to exceptional metal fabrication. Jeff envisioned harnessing his father’s methodologies to create something transformative: modular homes for the unsheltered. His mission, along with his team, in establishing Safe Haven is to provide housing solutions that empower individuals with freedom and stability.
